Pereira e Guerra Lda. is guided by the highest ethical standards of honesty and integrity.
Despite all the prevention and control mechanisms in place, as well as the ongoing compliance measures that are constantly updated, no organization is entirely immune to the possibility of illicit activities. If such activities are not promptly identified, they can cause serious harm not only to the organization and the individuals involved, but also to the public interest itself.
This includes, in particular, behaviors that may jeopardize the environment, public health, public safety, consumer rights, the protection of personal privacy and network security, that may involve the misuse of public funds, money laundering practices, or violent and organized crime.
Individuals working within organizations, or who maintain professional relationships with them, are often the first to detect the existence of illicit activities or, at the very least, to suspect such possibilities.
It is essential that these individuals feel encouraged to report such situations without fear of retaliation.
To this end, and in compliance with Law no. 93/2021, of December 20, the companies that make up Pereira e Guerra Lda. have established internal reporting channels for infringements, encouraging all those who become aware of irregularities in the course of their professional relationship with any company of the Group to report such situations, which would otherwise remain undetected.
Pereira e Guerra Lda. is committed to ensuring the confidentiality of whistleblowers’ identities, to protecting them against any act of retaliation, to investigating all submitted reports, and subsequently acting diligently to put an end to any irregular situation that may be identified.
